It is a deciduous, upright, spreading, multi-stemmed shrub. Displays large, long lasting, showy clusters of vivid rosy-red crepe-like flowers on upright branches from July till September, but sometimes even to early frost. The handsome foliage has bronzy cast in spring, bright green in summer and golden autumn colour. It tolerates drought, clay soil and air pollution very well! A real impressive spot of colour either in the garden or in tubs.
