3-4 m tall-growing shrub, its broad, ovate leaves are heart-shaped at their shoulders and the edges are intact. The sweet-smelling light-blue flowers bloom from violet buds in April and May and form beautiful 10-20 cm panicles. Professor Hoser is one of the most beautiful light-blue coloured lilac varieties.
