Trumpet creepers start late their growing season in spring, which can partly be their advantage as it reduces the risk of damage caused by frost. The main attraction of these plants is their flared trumpet flowers that, depending on the variety, can be orange, red or yellow and they can reach 6-10 cm in length and 3-5 cm across. The flowers appear in clusters of 4-12 from July to September, blossoming at the tips of this year`s (horizontal) shoots.
The vividly orange flowers of the variety Ursynow opens in profusion from July to September and it starts blooming in the 1st or 2nd year after planting. Quite frost hardy.
