This palm is native to Japan`s southernmost islands and to Taiwan. Its dark oil green leaves look like a fish-spine, silvery on the back side, the small leaves are long fish-tail shaped. The flowers smell sweet and dark red round fruits evolve from them. To access tropical atmosphere, it is a perfect choice! Surprisingly enough, it stands the frost up to minus 4-5 degrees C⁰ but just for a short period of time!
