This deciduous small tree, which is native to Tierra del Fuego, South Chile, can often be found in Western European gardens, where it has a large popularity due to its irregular, twisted branch system. Until now, inexplicable reason, it was missing from our (Hungarian) gardens. Perfectly good winter-hardy, it is planted even in Iceland!
