This is the stockier stature version of the oak-leaved hydrangea, it is not taller than 35 inches/90 cm and about 46.8 inches/120 cm wide, was bred in the US National Arboretum. The flowers, which bloom in cone shaped panicles, are initially white then change into pink colour and adorn the bushes of especially decorative foliage from July to September! Its leaves turn into very attractive mahogany-red colour in autumn! In our country it is still very rare, but grows nicely under normal conditions and will be a uniquely beautiful-looking ornamental shrub!
