 This species is native to Lord Howe Island, about 500 km (312.5 miles) east of the eastern coast of Australia in the Pacific Ocean, where the main populations grow in the island`s mountainous rainforests. It is a well-known and popular ornamental plant, which is used with predilection in homes and interiors in Hungary too. Its herringbone layout leaves and small leaves are dark green and arcuately curved back. It is a hardened, relatively fast-growing, decorative palm. From spring to autumn, it can be a showy container plant on sunny or half-shaded terraces and balconies too!
