Excellent Hungarian plant breeder Miklós Józsa`s very precious, new sort of Smoke Tree that becomes more and more popular all over Europe!
Smoke Tree `Lilla` approx. grows up to 1.5 meters in height and similar width. Its roundish leaves change their colours from coming out to the falling of leaves: the new spring foliage is deep purplish red, the summer foliage is beautiful dark purple and it turns into orange scarlet at autumn! The loose clusters of flowers start to adorn it from late April, while the cloud-like fruits do the same from late May!
It`s an excellent winter-hardy version, not picky in soils, moreover, tolerates chalky soil well. The well-ingrained plants are excellent drought tolerant! It requires a blazing sunny location, its colour will be the most beautiful there too! This plant can be kept in containers on balconies or terraces as well!
