This pinnate palm originates from South America (Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil); with its beautiful appearance and rapid growth enjoys a great popularity in the sub-tropical regions of the Earth. We can see it in the French Riviera and only on some southern parts of the Mediterranean coast where the winters are milder. It can survive frosts of minus 6-7 degrees of centigrade. In our country (Hungary), we can keep it as an excellent container plant.
