Originally it comes from the east coast of the United States. It is a shrub which can grow up to 3 m tall, whose autumn foliage turns into bright red colour. This variety has been bred in Saxony, Germany. Its fruit is interesting because it is high in fructose, pectin and tannin. It is very resistant against pests and diseases. The Russian folk medicine uses this plant for many things for a long time. Its fruit contains extremely high amounts of antioxidants (the highest among all the fruits in the world!), which play key role in neutralizing the harmful substances in our body!!!
