There is growing interest in column-shaped fruit varieties that can be raised in the narrow gardens occupying small areas or even on balconies and terraces. The new `Proficats` columnar apple series of the Research Institute of Geisenheim fully satisfies this rightful demand! These sensational new varieties resist to all apple diseases, but at least show a very high resistance, so they can be grown completely free of chemicals!
Besides eco- and bio-production possibilities, these varieties regularly bear fruit abundantly, and their fruit quality is excellent too!
Greencats is similar to the popular sort Granny Smith, in-washed with yellow, green-coloured, tastes excellent sweet-Mediterranean, juicy, can be stored for long period of time, ripens in mid-September. The tree is resistant, of medium vigorous growth.
