It is a stocky stature, exotic-looking, round-shaped, evergreen ornamental shrub which typically reaches a height of 3.3-5 feet/1-1.5 m. Its silver-coloured, large-sized leaves show particularly well in the company of other plants which have substantially different shapes and colour of leaves. It is a perfect balcony plant, but it is also a showy element in the garden due to its good winter-hardiness, in fact, a low hedge can be constructed out of it too! Having flowers of intense fragrant of honey in late autumn, it is a particularly interesting and valuable shrub, since at that time there are hardly any flowers around us!
