One of the most special kind of Japanese maples as its leaves are practically coloured in white and these white leaves are decorated with various green patches and dots of smaller or bigger size and pale pinkish coatings. It can reach a height of 2 meters by the age of about 10 years.
The young plants kept in shade have not, but the ones which are more advanced, also receiving some sunshine, growing half in shadow, in diffuse light, developing nicely, however, have the typical tones of colour at full intensity! The Japanese maples are completely hardy in our country (Hungary). They grow really well in a vaporous, semi-shady area with good water supply. They especially look good near smaller and larger ponds, or at any water surface! USDA zone 6b.
