It is also a French thing! Talking to a famous French nursery (Philippi) we learned that it was an extremely cold winter on the French Riviera, the Marseille Bay froze and you could walk on the ice surface of the lakes just a few kilometers away from the sea in 1956!!! This terrible freeze wave cleaned up the Mediterranean vegetation including the olive trees around the area of Méze too. Tanche was one among the few survivors, which we are very pleased to offer again!
