Its 2 cm, downy blueberry coloured oblong berries ripen in the second half of May, they taste pleasant aromatic and slightly tart. The fruit contains high amount of vitamin B and has excellent effect on health! It is an extremely undemanding, small-sized shrub, not choosy in soils and the most extreme winter will not damage it either, however, it likes appropriate water supply. Planted either in a garden, outdoors or in a container, it will grow beautifully and bears fruit. Many people mistakenly believe that the name `honeysuckle` comes from the taste. In fact it comes from the fact that spring bloom provides huge areas to the bees to gather nectar and pollen.
