It has glossy grassy leaves eight inches or a foot tall. The blue flowers occur atop upright stems one foot to eighteen inches. This is way less than half the size of the species. `Peter Pan` Lily-of-the-Nile is hardy to about ten degrees F. In zone 8 it dies back in winter, in zone 9 it is reliably evergreen. As it makes a good container plant, it can be grown in colder areas but brought in for the winter.
