It is a shrub with a showy foliage, originates from the northern areas of China and Asia where it meets the harshest frosts. Its leaves take up purplish-red-orange colours for long weeks before they fall off in autumn! It develops well on thin soils, too, and reaches its height of 2 metres relatively fast. It can bear a heavy cut back as well, so is suitable for trimmed hedges, either in sunny or half shady places, even in the coldest frost nooks!
A strong, healthy plant, which is a grateful decorative colour patch in the garden, with its spring blossoming, bloomy decorative berries, and with an eye-catching autumn foliage colour!
