Summer apple variety Pamuk was still widespread in the vicinity of Pécs, Hungary, till the middle of the 1900s. The peel is oily to the touch, glowing faintly, still light green when starts ripening, but it is already yellow-green or greenish yellow when it is ripe, breathed with pale red on the sunny side, and mottled with just less vivid red, broken strips and dots. The flesh is white or white soaked with little yellow, delicate, light and soft, juicy, its sweetness is raised with some tender sour, slightly fragrant, and leaving on the tree, it reaches full ripeness and will have very pleasant taste.
