It is an intensely coloured precious American variety which was brought to Europe through the French. Due to the prolonged ripening time it can be collected over a relatively long period of time between late June and early July. The fruit is of large size, tastes excellent, very sweet, first class for fresh consumption, stewed fruit and for drying, too! The tree is of medium vigorous growth, bears fruit reliably and abundantly, not disease sensitive!
