It is a Japanese maple whose leaves come up with neon orange red, turn into greenish yellow in summer and become flaming reddish color in autumn. It is a breed of relatively small in stature reaching a height of about 2 meters.
The young plants kept in shade have not, but the ones which are more advanced, also receiving some sunshine, growing half in shadow, in diffuse light, developing nicely, however, have the typical hues at full intensity! The Japanese maples are completely hardy in our country (Hungary). They grow really well in a vaporous, semi-shady area with good water supply. They especially look good near smaller and larger ponds, or at any water surface! USDA zone 6b.
