Kramer`s Supreme Japanese Camellia

(Camellia japonica `Kramer`s Supreme`)
This plant is currently unavailable.

Camellias are like jewels in the protected, semi-shaded gardens, but at the same time, they are the wonderful container plants of winter gardens and verandas, too! They require acidic soil. The flowers of this version are vibrant red and its pale hues.

Camellia japonica is a basic sort, similar to a tea shrub, native to the Himalayas, China and Japan as well as to the surrounding islands. 12-15 meters tall, has oval-shaped serrated leaves, the flowers are big, red coloured, end set, sessile, which become full easily and plenty to evolve, therefore, this plant has become a very popular ornamental plant in the European ornamental gardens. Fat oil is pressed from its brown seeds and used for domestic purposes in Japan. Bred versions (like the plants offered here) usually reach a height of about 2-3 metres and dazzle us by amazingly beautiful flood of flowers for a long time (even for 5-6 weeks!) in early spring!
