It ripens in the second half of September. Horticulturist Tibor Rittmann saved it out from a garden of a ruined house nearly overgrown by the forest in Kan, used to be a Swabian village, now completely depopulated settlement. Here, although surrounded by forests, this huge, vigorous, healthy, tough, solid tree is full of fruits every year! The fruit is medium-sized, roundish, green-coloured, very slight blush on the sunny side. The flesh is halfway between crackle and melting, but slightly rather toward crackle, very pleasant, tastes aromatic! It is good for fresh consumption, stewed fruit and fruit juice too! We could not try its shelf life yet because it runs out too soon! No accident the former Swabians brought this particularly valuable sort from the distant homeland!
