It is a randomly generated seedling variety from Massachusetts, the USA, around 1860. Its large or very large fruit is regular pear-shaped, thin, the peel is greenish-yellow with some red hue on the sunny side. The flesh is light yellow or white, very juicy, with a pleasant aroma! Ripening time lasts from the second half of August to early September depending on the particular year.
It is one of the most popular pear in our country (Hungary) and many other countries due to the high quality and good resistance to diseases!
