This is the completely winter-hardy relative of the very popular container-kept Cape Flower (Plumbago capensis). Chinese Plumbago is 3.3 feet tall (1m) and can be an equally wide shrub as Cape Flower. Its spectacular sky-blue flowers appear from August and are blooming constantly to late autumn! In more favourable location it does not behave as a perennial, is able to grow into a small shrub! The autumn foliage is wonderful red! It is native to China and Tibet.
