It is an evergreen shrub which grows as tall as a man. It has pinnately compound, shiny dark green leaves, whose edges are slightly serrated and get a little bit red-coloured for the winter. Its golden yellow flowers bloom in dense clusters in April, so making the plant even more beautiful. It is also popular as cut-green.
