It is an evergreen creeper of extreme ornamental value which is quite common from North Carolina to Guatemala! Its highly fragrant, resplendent golden yellow flowers overrun it en masse in spring and this flood of flowers can be seen for even 3 months! It is a plant with good frost tolerance, can be planted in the garden too, although we do not know the exact level of cold tolerance in Hungary yet! The otherwise very nice, shiny light green foliage turns into bronze in winter. Just to be on the safe side, mulching around its root is advisable in the winter.
This plant is able to creep large surfaces, so it is excellent to hide fences or unwanted garden elements, but it is beautiful as a container plant as well!
