It is native to Canada and the Eastern part of the USA, a completely hardy climber with wonderful flowers! It fixes itself on the support system by tendrils and suction cups and it can run on relatively large surfaces too. The foliage is winter green, which means the plant lives through mild winters covered with green leaves; in case of harder cold, the leaves get coloured in reddish and fall off, too. It is a lusty, beautiful plant, which is planted with predilection for its extremely decorative, trumpet-like, fragrant flowers opening in May and June! It is good for running up on undesirable elements quickly so as to conceal them!
