Canadian spruce, White spruce

(Picea glauca)
This plant is currently unavailable.

It is widespread in North Western Ontario (Canada), a slender, conical-crowned tree. It is similar to our domestic spruce pine, but the foliage is very beautiful silvery-white hue. Tolerant type of plant, in not too poor soil it can survive aridity very well. Moreover, during the extremely dry and hot summer of 2012, it stood with `straight face` and a few of them have even grown 60-70 inches! This is an especially beautiful pine, the different sugar loaf pine variations also derive from this species.
