One of the most promising giants! The leaves are bigger, and very nice shiny dark green, underneath somewhat silvery-blueish, very dense, and highly decorative. It can reach a height of 8-10 m in some years. The stems are thick and particularly strong, as well as the rhizomes. The stems can be used as a high quality raw material for crafts. Its winter hardiness is the best among all the giants! After 6-7 years it developes into a spectacular forest-like clump!
