It is native to Japan and China, with curved, flexible twigs, approx. 5-foot tall ornamental shrub. Its oblong spear-like light green leaves appear very soon. The flowers, which are darker in buds and paler pink when bloom, appear in great numbers in April and May, and count really big among the meadowsweets. The cut twigs with buds put in vase will bloom beautifully for a long time! It can be used as a hedgerow or solitaire, although it is a showy ornamental plant, yet less known in our country (Hungary)!
