CHERRY „ÖKÖRSZEM” (ox-eye): a cherry of June, ripening to a dark claret colour. Its ripening may last for three or four weeks, which characteristic is very advantageous for house gardens (but not for large, industrial plantations), which allows us to enjoy this fruit for a long time. Its flesh is a purplish claret, crispy, juicy, very aromatic and flavoury. The cherries are big, in some years very big, with a short stem and relatively small stone. Tree: its vigour of growth depends on the terroire: strong or medium strong vigour.
