CHERRY `BOROSTYÁN` (amber): It is a remarkable variety, not only because of its interesting yellow colour, but also for its special taste and long-lasting ripening period. When fully ripe, it is honey-sweet, almost sticky, with a very slight bittery by-flavour, which lends a very special aroma to this variety. In 2011, we picked the last cherries from the tree in August, while we kept picking them almost in the whole of July. Tree: has a medium vigour in growth, growing relatively slowly, to a `space-saving` size. Combining this fruit with red cherries, very spectacular dishes of mixed fruit or fruit cakes (etc.) can be prepared.
