It is an evergreen climber, native to Australia, capable of climbing on large surfaces, so some kind of support, net, grid, etc. should be provided which it can climb on. Its purple butterfly-like inflorescences can decorate our surroundings throughout the summer! Overwintering is advisable at a frost-free place, although it is able to survive slight frost. It is enough for overwintering if the large foliage grown in the summer is cut back to 8-12 inches above the ground so in spring intensive growth begins again.
