Garnet Threadleaf Japanese Maple

(Acer palmatum `Dissectum Garnet`)
This plant is currently unavailable.

It is one of the most popular Japanese maple, a hemispherical-shaped deciduous shrub with deeply dissected reddish leaves. Reaching a height of 2-3 meters it is an excellent solitary plant, which is one of the most striking elements in the garden with its conspicuous colour and habit!

The young plants kept in shade have not, but the ones which are more advanced, also receiving some sunshine, growing half in shadow, in diffuse light, developing nicely, however, have the typical hues at full intensity! The Japanese maples are completely hardy in our country (Hungary). They grow really well in a vaporous, semi-shady area with good water supply. They especially look good near smaller and larger ponds, or at any water surface!  USDA zone 6a.
