Compared to other fruit species, this plant is very long-lived and able to reach a large size! Its possible age and canopy spread is mostly similar to that of a nut tree, but the service tree can live even longer time and grow bigger too! I know about very old trees with a trunk diameter of almost 1 m (3.3 foot) in Zala County (Hungary)! The fruit is bottled on the shelf or rowan palinka of extra quality is made of it which cannot be compared to anything!
