`Katherine Havemeyer` is an upright medium-sized deciduous lilac shrub, starts spreading with age. Its heart-shaped leaves are medium green in colour. Wonderfully scented, lavender blue, dense double clusters of flowers bloom from purple buds in May and June, later fading to lilac-pink.
