A great survivor! Tolerates extreme cold and heat as well, the drought resistance is also excellent. Grows very well in poor soils too. Reaches 8 (in Hungary, maximum 3-4) meters, 3-4 cm diameter. Leaves are medium or light green, the stems turn dark yellow or orange if exposed to full sun. The edible shoots come early in the spring. Nice plant with a tipical bamboo-habit, and suitable for several purposes.
