It is a sort dark red inside and outside, bred in the Research Institute of Weihenstephan, especially suitable for making wonderful unique red apple juice, but is also special and keeps good as apple puree, apple chips and apple jelly! It is worth mentioning the colour of the apple juice made of the variety Weirouge was still very nice red after more than two years of storage! Initially, the tree is of vigorous growth but later the large quantities of fruit slows it down. The fruit should be left on the tree until full maturity so that the beautiful red colour of the flesh can develop more forcefully.
