This is an evergreen shrub or small tree. Its attractive, bright-pink, fragrant flowers appear early and can be seen throughout the summer. The length of the lance-shaped, leathery leaves are between 4 and 7.8 inches (10-20 cm). It looks very well as a container plant, but needs a frost-free place in the winter.
