Hall`s Japanese Honeysuckle

(Lonicera japonica `Halliana`)
This plant is currently unavailable.

It is a vigorously growing, even 6 m tall climbing shrub. It brings flowers more densely than the basic species and the flowers have very strong, pleasant scent. The virtually evergreen foliage freezes only in tough winters. This is one of the best known and most popular Japanese honeysuckles, excellent for covering large surfaces, but we can let it climb up a simple acacia pole (like the other Japanese honeysuckles) too. Some shoots first need some help to get to the top of the column (e.g. by tying them to the column), but soon after it the plant covers it making a very showy, profusely blooming, waterfall-like dense mass of shoots.  USDA zone 5a
