It is a 1-1.5 m tall, semi-evergreen ornamental shrub, which is a real jewel among the Viburnum cultivars. When it is flowering in the spring, nearly spherical, porcelain white, slightly fragrant inflorescences cover it in such number that leaves can barely be seen! It blooms reliably and profusely every year! Its shiny dark green, oval leaves become red colour in autumn, otherwise, lying in an exposed place, the bush almost gets bald in winter, however, at a sheltered place, it retains the old beautifully coloured foliage until the new leaves sprout at spring. It is a thick growing, squat bush, which is great as low, unshorn hedge or space border!
