Its shape resembles the Star King: flat tapered, length and width are the same, but spherical, elongated and cylindrical forms also occur in the same tree. The fruit is large, pleasing, the skin has a light red coating colour on a greenish yellow background, and dark red streaks can be seen on the surface (raspberry-red stripes). The flesh is pale greenish yellow or butter yellow, hoarsish and juicy. It has a unique taste, similar to that of the melon, sweetish. The ripening time stretches from late September until the end of November, yields very well and abundantly. It keeps good till the beginning of winter and becomes a bit slushy.
