Apple: Columnar apple: Suncats

(Malus domestica `Suncats`)
This plant is currently unavailable.

There is growing interest in column-shaped fruit varieties that can be raised in the narrow gardens occupying small areas or even on balconies and terraces. Earlier columnar apple varieties (e.g. the sorts of the Ballerina group) were susceptible to several diseases and so they did not meet fully the customers` expectations, because who wants to spray near their living areas?!! And in general, let`s avoid using chemicals wherever possible!

The new "Proficats" columnar apple series of the Research Institute of Geisenheim fully satisfies this rightful demand! These sensational new varieties resist to all apple diseases, but at least show a very high resistance, so they can be grown completely free of chemicals!

Besides eco- and bio-production possibilities, these varieties regularly bear fruit abundantly, and the fruit quality is excellent too!

Suncats is interesting due to its earliness, this sort can be harvested in late August. This is a very nice red coloured apple, has pleasant taste and the appearance reminds of the sort Pinova. Primarily available for fresh consumption, can only be stored for a few weeks.
