The basic species originates from Spain, which is a warm, dry, sunny location loving medium-sized tree. A special feature is that the needles are standing in a circular form on the shoots and they are greyish-green coloured. It is a very beautiful plant of special appearance. The young shoots of this variety are beautiful golden yellow while the older ones are green. USDA Zone 6b.
